ING bolsters infrastructure and cities expertise with new hires
Rebecca Evans, former editor of leading trade title Construction News, has joined as ING’s new head of infrastructure. Rebecca’s career spans journalism, editing, content strategy, impact and communications for B2B audiences and clients, with a particular focus on the built environment.
As editor of Construction News from 2011 to 2017, Rebecca successfully repositioned the brand, putting thought leadership and supply chain relationships at its heart. In 2014 she won BSME Business Editor of the Year.
More recently, Rebecca was director of content at political intelligence agency DeHavilland, and director of impact and communications at behavioural research agency Revealing Reality.
Rebecca’s role as head of infrastructure will be to grow the company’s infrastructure business, which has been set up in response to a changing political and economic climate, and is reflected in a number of investor, developer and architecture clients growing their own infrastructure portfolios.
Joining Rebecca at ING is senior account manager Jake Nunley, who previously led a research team at urban consulting firm The Business of Cities. Over the past seven years, he has helped local government leaders, place coalitions, urban districts and developers in 30+ cities internationally to plan their future, tell a coherent and engaging story, and deliver city-shaping infrastructure.
Jake’s primary areas of expertise include investment positioning and promotion, market and competitor analysis, and comparative cities data. He recently co-authored a blueprint for the future of urban data with the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council on the Cities of Tomorrow and has delivered guest lectures for UCL’s MPA in Urban Innovation and Policy on how business can help the built world to succeed.
Working closely with ING's dedicated cities and research teams, Jake will be providing strategic comms, PR and research support to ING’s broad range of clients, particularly its large group of city clients.
