The built environment is the world’s most valuable sector. The ING Academy teaches the latest thinking in built environment communications and gives external participants the confidence to put this knowledge into practice.

The ING Academy, taught by ING directors, is designed to help PR and marketing professionals navigate the complexities of communicating across this complex sector and develop their ability to drive value through strategic communication. Shaping a better built environment is key to our shared prosperity. The ING Academy, at the heart of one of the world’s greatest cities for learning, recognises the huge opportunity expert communications can play in achieving this.

During the course many of the toughest questions ING has been asked by clients over the last 20 years will be addressed. We will share how successes and the occasional failure have produced the winning ING approach. ING’s new offices in a rapidly developing area of London provide the perfect space for the immersive, small group approach to learning, with participants encouraged to solve their unique built environment challenges together. Taking place inside a busy agency, there are additional opportunities for connecting with ING’s friendly team and developing an understanding the wider world of PR.

The three-day training programme comprises expert teaching from ING directors working within property, architecture, design, regeneration and culture to help brands, organisations and cities thrive in a connected world.

Following the three-day programme participants will have increased their understanding of the built environment’s complex networks, be more willing to innovate, be better able to advise and support internal and external teams, be up to speed with the latest thinking in built environment communications, have greater capacity to future-proof their organisation’s messaging, and have the confidence to put all this knowledge into practice. We want to keep good people contributing to the success of the built environment. As well as improving job outcomes and satisfaction this course will also support skills retention in our important industry.

The ING Academy learning journey will equip participants with the tools to establish their organisation’s visibility locally and globally; online and offline, ensuring organisations working in the built environment can develop stronger content and leverage third-party conversations to more effectively establish business growth.

The programme includes an evening networking event. Tony Danaher, ING’s executive chairman and long-time advisor to government on property, in conversation with an industry expert, provides a further opportunity to understand the extent to which our industry is shaping the built environment. A visit to some recent and significant buildings around ING will further highlight the impact that messaging and storytelling can have on our experience of the cities we all live in.

The built environment is all around us, framing and influencing our interactions. Communications joins this all together. We’re here to help everyone in our sector trying to get this message across more clearly.

So why not get in touch to learn more about how we can help you thrive in this complex world.

Please get in touch if you'd like to be part of the next cohort.
