Founded in 2004, Eckersley O’Callaghan is a leading structural and facade engineering practice with offices in London, New York, San Francisco, Paris and Shanghai. The practice has collaborated with many of the world’s most prominent architects and designers; and has established an international reputation for creative, yet rigorous, approach to engineering structures. 

Engagement with architecture and industry underpins their pioneering use of materials to realise projects of exceptional quality, efficiency, and elegance. This is exemplified by their innovative work in structural glass for Apple’s flagship stores around the world over the past decade.

Motivated by meeting technical challenges with intelligent engineering design has lead the team to support a diverse range of architectural projects. Projects include the new Stamford Bridge Stadium, Sky Pool, Apple 5th Avenue, V&A Europe 1600-1815 Galleries, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, The Queen’s College Library (Oxford University) as well as many developments across the UK.

The practice was recognised by the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation in 2010, and in 2014 won the Institution of Structural Engineers’ highest accolade – the ‘Supreme Award for Excellence in Structural Engineering’ for Apple Zorlu Glass Lantern, Istanbul
