Allister joined ING after more than ten years in business journalism, working across a diverse range of titles in the UK and overseas. He has extensive experience reporting on property, construction and the built environment in the UK, as well as public policy, and has a sharp eye for a story.
Most recently he was deputy editor at Property Week, where he managed the day-to-day production of the magazine and led on special projects and events. Previously he was news editor at Building magazine and has also worked at Local Government Chronicle and Regeneration & Renewal, covering housing, public policy, local government, regeneration and economic development.
Originally from New Zealand, Allister spent time living and working in Australia, Japan and South East Asia, before settling in London. He is a keen urban gardener, and recently led the development of a community garden project in north London.
