Circa Press

Design and Arts

Circa is a new independent publisher specialising in architecture and design titles, rooted in a wealth of publishing experience. Circa works with authors, architects and designers who are passionate about what they do to create beautiful, innovative books with the highest editorial, design and production values.

The company was founded in London, in 2014, by editor and critic David Jenkins, who over the past twenty-five years has conceived and edited critically acclaimed books on architecture and design for some of the world’s leading publishers.

Circa’s first title, Jan Kaplicky Drawings, collects drawings from the career of the Stirling Prize winning Czech architect and was published in March 2015. The large-format book collates sketches and photomontages from the early years of Kaplicky’s independent practice, Future Systems, in the 1970s, to his final ink drawings, executed in the mid-1990s.

The publishing house’s second title, An Igloo on the Moon, was released in Summer 2015, and is soon to be followed by a third, Death Drive.
